Individualized Learning Support

The DENSING Teaching Method

The DENSING Teaching Method is a practical and playful learning method in which a child or a small group of students co-create learning materials specific to their needs, interests, and abilities. Materials focusing on a child's interests and needs will provide a deeper engagement and memorable learning experience. Most of the learning is achieved during this process because the student is actively involved, both physically and mentally. This Method encourages children to be actively involved in every step of the learning process.

Maria MONTESSORI pioneered the development of hands-on learning materials tailored for special needs children. Despite this initial focus, her method has proven universally effective, benefiting every child regardless of their learning stage. Similarly, the DENSING Method aligns with this philosophy, ensuring that every child, irrespective of their learning stage, can thrive with personalized materials tailored to their interests and abilities. What sets the this method apart is its emphasis on personalized learning materials crafted based on the child's individual interests and abilities. This innovative approach seeks to customize the educational experience, aiming to make learning an engaging journey that fosters a lifelong excitement for acquiring knowledge.

Encourage students to become involved in co-designing their own learning materials to promote engagement and ownership of their learning.

Practical Advice for Creating Learning Materials

Read through the instructions ahead of time to buy any supplies you need. Also, consider how long you think it will take you and your child or your group of students to work on the material. While some materials can be made in less than 20 minutes, others may be easier to complete over several days. With each material, invite your students to help as much as possible. Remember, go at the child’s pace to make the most of their ability to concentrate and enjoy the process.
